There is no doubt that current times in many ways are different to other more recent economic eras (see the piece on the Fourth Industrial Revolution) but whatever your view on this present context, at the heart of effective innovation is LEADERSHIP.
A commitment from the top and empowerment throughout the organisation for members of that organisation to think of new ways of doing things and 'new things'. The paper below was a presentation to The Army on the subject of what Innovation is and what its criteria for success might be. It stimulated an interesting debate!
